Microsoft Windows Installer is a utility tool that manages application with the MSI extension.
If an application with extension .MSI is corrupted or damaged, below error message will be displayed during a program installation:
“Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid”
“Fatal error during installation”
“Unable to access the Windows Installer service”
“Unable to open this path. Contact the vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
Solution
The utility Windows Installer CleanUp can remove the wrong information resulting from a failed installation.
- Download and install Windows Installer CleanUp:here
- Click on the shortcut WindowS Installer CleanUp from All Programs .
- Select the wrong path in the list of program to remove same.
- Click on Remove> OK .
Proceed with Re-installation
