That is why i disable all online features for antivirus’ which can be used for spying or screwing the user; Eset is very modular and does that better than the rest, and has a very high offline detection rate compared to the competition, which means you can turn off online or cloud features and still fair well so long as you exercise mindful online practices.
Use a host blocklist; i use one on my router *get an open source router*… or a cheap mini pc with dual ethernet ports, and block most all tracking, ads, and malware sites home wide, all locally without sending your browsing history to ESET.

anyone have any cfg.xml to block url only? else full of setting to be imported… :/

Importing Settings
Open ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
Go to Setup > Import/Export settings.
